Reconnect with Elphie at Earth Day 2016!

The PGAVia Team Tusk Elphie puppet on parade at St. Louis Mardi Gras with PGAV staffers

Reconnect with Elphie at Earth Day 2016!

After Elphie’s grand appearance in the 2016 St. Louis Mardi Gras Parade, we made incredible headway in our PGAVIA Conservation Awareness Campaign towards banning the illegal ivory trade in our home state. As a direct result of our efforts, MO Representative Jeanne Kirkton (D) introduced legislation into the Missouri House of Representatives that will ban all illegal ivory and rhino horn sales within the state. This marks the 21st American state to consider such legislation; and if successful, would be a tremendous achievement in saving the lives of hundreds of thousands of rare animals and the entire ecosystems in which they fight to thrive.

And you can help this weekend!

Join Elphie and Team Tusk once again at St. Louis Earth Day 2016 and use our convenient tablets to send a ready-to-go-letter to your MO House Representative to support House Bill 2747, banning all illegal ivory sales and saving countless lives of elephants and rhinoceroses. Be one of the 50,000 festival goers to come get your Selfie with #Elphie, and tell your representative that you stand with PGAVIA.

PGAV Destinations and Elphie will be located under the Muny’s canopy near the festival stage.
