PGAV Principal Appointed to Sam Fox School National Council

We are thrilled and honored to announce that PGAV Destinations’ Principal and Chair, Mike Konzen, has been appointed to Washington University’s Sam Fox School National Council!

Invited by John Weil, Chair of the Council, and Carmon Colangelo, Ralph J. Nagel Dean of the Sam Fox School, Mr. Konzen will be joining a cadre of alumni, academic and business leaders, and parents of current and former Washington University students. The coalition operates with the primary goal of shaping programs that distinguish Washington University in the fields of art, architecture, and design education nationally and internationally.

As a Washington University alumnus himself, Mr. Konzen oversees St. Louis-based PGAV Destinations, an attractions design and consulting firm, with numerous local projects with the St. Louis Blues, Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri Botanical Garden, St. Charles Convention Center, and many more. Most recently, Mr. Konzen and PGAV pledged a five year support of the Sam Fox School’s Alberti Program, which educates area high school students about architecture and design. PGAV’s support assists in the funding of the program as well as offering PGAV’s world-class designers to lead educational workshops with the students.

Currently, the Sam Fox School National Council is focused on helping the School identify goals for its second decade, especially as it seeks to further distinguish the school’s academic programs, strengthen outreach efforts, and develop a facilities master planning including Weil Hall, an expansion to the Kemper Art Museum, and a comprehensive landscape plan that unites and energizes the Sam Fox School quadrant.

Congratulations Mike Konzen and thank you for helping to advance one of our city’s greatest treasures!
