PGAV Destinations’ Stacey Ludlum Promoted to Director of Zoo and Aquarium Planning and Design

Recognized Zoo & Aquarium designer expands global impact

 

stacey-cropped-in(St. Louis, MO – December 13, 2016) – The global planning and design firm PGAV Destinations announced that Stacey Ludlum has been promoted from Zoological Designer and Site Planner to Director of Zoo & Aquarium Planning and Design.

In her new role, Ms. Ludlum will be guiding the firm’s design of animal-related facilities, leading the visioning of the future of zoological parks, and developing marketing strategies for expanding PGAV’s international footprint.

On behalf of PGAV, she has been instrumental in the long-term planning at Big Bear Alpine Zoo, the Tulsa Zoo, Brookfield Zoo, Georgia Aquarium, Discovery Cove, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, and many more, and annually represents the firm through speaking engagements at the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the China Association of Zoological Gardens.

Ms. Ludlum is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology with a concentration in Zoo and Aquarium Science, and earned her Master’s in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University. Previously, she has interned at the Cincinnati Zoo and Binder Park Zoo. She currently oversees PGAV’s conservation volunteer program, PGAVia, and serves on the AZA Membership Committee and Commercial Member Advisory Board. She is a frequent writer on the firm’s blog as well as her own popular industry blog, Designing Zoos.
