As the Architect of Record, PGAV coordinated the designs from multiple Walt Disney Imagineering teams, including ride, interiors, and show, to ensure their cohesive integration while upholding the integrity of each design entity’s vision. PGAV also devised construction methods aligned with the project’s objectives while adhering to all relevant codes, standards, and budget constraints.

This visionary project was brought to life through Walt Disney Imagineering’s collaboration with PGAV. Anticipation crackles in the air as you board the Starjumper ride vehicle. The OmniCoaster combines a launch coaster with individually controlled spinning cars. The ride system’s ability to rotate 360 degrees keeps you fully immersed in the media and special effects through every twist and turn.
One of the project’s key challenges was repurposing an existing building to accommodate a complex queue and ride station while seamlessly integrating it with a massive new ride building. The queue itself was designed to create a richly immersive, story-driven experience across multiple themed rooms. Constructing the new building required an extensive foundation and floor system, involving 960 truckloads of concrete. An enclosed bridge spanning a road provided access to this structure. PGAV embraced the architectural challenges of Cosmic Rewind, collaborating closely with all stakeholders to bring the project to life.
