The St. Louis Cardinals maintain one of the largest collections of artifacts in all of Major League Baseball; and while most of them are currently featured in an online exhibition, the upcoming 8,000 square foot space will offer the first opportunity to physically showcase the rich heritage and myriad of stories celebrating with winning history of the beloved home team.

“It’s certainly an honor and an exciting privilege to be working with the Cardinals in this great endeavor,” says Mike Konzen, PGAV Destinations Principal and head of the project. “Much of our work takes us around the world creating theme parks, zoos, aquariums and more, but there’s always a special sense of pride and fulfillment we get out of working on a project  that celebrates our home town’s amazing Cardinals.”

Ballpark Village will be a seven city-block development just North of Busch Stadium that will combine retail, entertainment, office, and residential space. The new addition will be a first-of-its-kind in the nation and is cited to create more than 1,000 construction jobs and 500 permanent jobs just in the first phase. Cardinals president Bill DeWitt, III cites it as the culmination of the Cardinals’ vision having begun seven years ago with the opening of the new Busch Stadium.

“We are excited to bring our fans a unique venue that will be the envy of all professional sports teams.” said Bill DeWitt, III. “Cardinals Nation will give us a way to connect with our fans year round, either in the restaurant, the museum, the Hall of Fame, or the seating deck.”
