January 20, 2026

PGAV announces the promotion of two leaders to Vice President, enhancing the firm’s ability to support clients with integrated expertise, strategic insight, and hands-on leadership from vision through realization.

In their new roles as Vice Presidents, Hui Chen and Dan O’Neill will play key roles in advancing PGAV’s business development efforts. Leveraging their deep design expertise, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership, they will help strengthen client relationships, identify new opportunities, and guide projects from early vision through long-term partnerships. Their ability to connect big ideas with practical execution positions them to thoughtfully expand PGAV’s reach while ensuring every new opportunity reflects the firm’s values, creativity, and commitment to exceptional guest experiences.

Chen brings a collaborative, client-centered approach to architecture, grounded in the belief that the strongest work is created through close partnership with clients, consultants, and contractors. Closely following policy shifts and development trends throughout Asia, Chen serves as a key bridge between PGAV and international clients, particularly within destination and hospitality markets. Her understanding of visitor behavior, cultural influence, and regional expectations allows her to guide projects with sensitivity and strategic insight, strengthening PGAV’s presence and relationships across the Asian market while continuing to elevate the firm’s global vision.

Chen said, “I’m truly excited to step into this new role and continue contributing to the incredible work we do at PGAV. I deeply believe that our projects are the result of a close partnership between our clients and design teams, where every idea, insight, and challenge is shared and shaped together. This promotion provides me with the opportunity to further strengthen those relationships, ensuring each project reflects the values and aspirations of all involved. I look forward to collaborating closely with both our clients and teams to bring inspiring and culturally relevant experiences to life.”

Building on his extensive experience in various PGAV sectors, O’Neill will continue to drive the creation of outdoor environments with his rare blend of creativity, storytelling, and technical expertise while further growing client relationships, exploring other business opportunity avenues of Landscape Architecture, and fostering PGAV’s internal talent. O’Neill’s ability to collaborate from early visioning and planning through detailed execution has made him a trusted partner and an inspiring leader, ensuring ideas are aligned across disciplines and carried through with clarity and craft.

O’Neill said, “I am immensely excited about this opportunity to continue to grow PGAV and continue to deliver on the high standards we hold ourselves to as a company. I look forward to further delivering unique experiences and exciting moments for families and guests who visit destinations around the world, creating unforgettable memories.”

“Hui and Dan exemplify the kind of leadership that directly benefits our clients,” said John Kasman, Principal at PGAV. Their ability to combine strategic insight, design excellence, and collaboration across markets, disciplines, and project phases allows us to better serve our clients from early vision through delivery. These promotions reflect the value they bring to our teams, our partners, and the work we do together.”
