PGAV Destinations Leads Master Plan for the Relocation of Fantasilandia to San Bernardo, Chile

February 17, 2026

PGAV Destinations is proud to announce its leadership role in the master planning and concept development for the relocation of Fantasilandia, one of Chile’s most beloved theme parks. After nearly five decades in Parque O’Higgins, the park is preparing to move to a larger site in San Bernardo.

PGAV developed a comprehensive master plan for the new site south of Santiago, creating a vision for the theme park and an adjacent water park.

The relocation strategy carefully balances innovation with nostalgia. PGAV’s team immersed itself in Fantasilandia’s 50-year history, researching its cultural roots, brand evolution, and guest traditions. From its beginnings as a single bumper car building to its growth into a full theme park, the park’s story, including the television program that featured its iconic costumed characters, played a central role.

PGAV developed a concept that allows many attractions to transition to the new site while introducing entirely new experiences. Portals will define distinct zones, each with its own character and atmosphere. New attractions, restaurants, and guest amenities will elevate the park experience and engage a broader range of guests. The entire park is unified through a cohesive narrative that weaves these experiences together.

“In designing the master plan, we wanted to honor 50 years of memories while creating a new chapter that still feels like the Fantasilandia guests love,” said Jeff Havlik, PGAV Vice President. “Through thoughtful master planning, cultural storytelling, and phased development, PGAV is helping ensure that the next 50 years of Fantasilandia are as meaningful and memorable as the first.”

The relocation is expected to be completed in December 2027, in time to celebrate Fantasilandia’s 50th anniversary at its new home. In addition to leading the overall relocation strategy, PGAV master planned the new water park and advanced it through concept design. The water park, which is currently under construction, is tentatively scheduled to open in December 2026.
