Primate Canopy Trails | St. Louis Zoo

Primate Canopy Trails is a first-of-its-kind sanctuary that offers primates of various sizes and skills eight unique and changeable habitats. Primates access the habitats via a series of mesh tunnels, natural trees, and branching platforms called sky trails.

A guest path made up of elevated boardwalks, climbing structures, ropes, and interpretives is integrated around and through the sky trail, creating the possibility for animal-led interactions.
