PGAV Destinations and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame Launch Strategic Master Planning Project to Provide a Vision for the Future
PGAV Destinations and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame have joined forces to initiate a comprehensive master planning process. The master plan outlines a strategy for the Gospel Music Hall of Fame to redevelop the former Second Baptist Church on Kingshighway in St. Louis, MO, into an exhibition hall, state-of-the-art recording studio, and educational, cultural, and performing arts center.
The master planning process, set to conclude by mid-year 2025, unfolds three phases:
- Destination Feasibility: Phase one gathers data to create a holistic view of the potential project and determines development strategies, including assessing the site and existing facilities, potential audiences, and market potential. This phase also begins to explore potential storylines and themes for development.
- Initial Product Development: In phase two, guest experience products are explored. Building plan diagrams are generated, and stakeholder reviews and workshops are conducted.
- Refined Product Development and Implementation Plan: The final phase focuses on creating a strategic roadmap that ensures long-term success by outlining clear steps for evaluating the plan and setting a phased approach for implementation.
“We are thrilled to embark on this journey with PGAV to imagine a future for the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. We’re excited about this journey and setting forth a plan to celebrate gospel music’s rich history while furthering our commitment to the well-being of the St. Louis community. The history of gospel music is being lost, and it’s vital that we tell the stories and keep it alive,” said Dr. Monica R. Butler, founder of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
